Silos Estate Squid Ink Shiraz 2008

Australia is famous for its Shiraz the world over and the terroire (the soil, climate and topography) in the Barossa and the Hunter particularly lends itself to the style for which New World red wines are known (one wine writer describing it as big, red and bloody).  The Shoalhaven is far milder that other wine regions in Australia, and as a result our Shiraz  while still retaining richness  is a softer, full bodied Shiraz with a lovely long finish. Enjoy now  but we believe it holds great cellaring promise.
